The fun of spontaneity!

After our tour and fulfilling the work order of the local villages’ construction supplies, and of course, getting the ants out of our pants, we headed out on a TukTuk for a drive by the local markets. What an experience and education...again!

We couldn’t help ourselves to visit some friends from last year in Chiang Mai

This is actually quite fun for us. When we we’re here last year we made several friends (the staff) at the Hard Rock Cafe. All the ones from last year who are still there, recognized us immediately. It kind of got to the point that they all treated us like we we’re the only people there. Even the manager came to our table (because of the ruckus) to greet us and welcome us back. This is Eak (Eric to us) Tua told us that he was a queen for his Halloween costume while working on that day. He said it was very easy for him 😜 The hostess, Lomchoy was the first to greet us when we arrived. Mam, the only one who wasn’t there last year, instantly made friends wit us. If you’ve been to Hard Rock Cafe, you might recognize that they wear a number of pins on their uniforms - kind of like achievement pins. Well... a couple of the staff gave us a few of their personal pins while we were there. 😃😃😃

Arrival in Tokyo

We arrived at the Park Hotel in the Ginza District of Tokyo. After more than 12 hours in the air from Dallas/Ft Worth and another hour on the road from Narita airport to the hotel, we put our feet up for a few minutes before heading out for some dinner and libation. From our small yet comfortable 29th floor room, we enjoyed a wonderful south facing city view. We chose this hotel for a reason. Inspired by the Japanese sense of aesthetics, an artist paints directly on the walls of the room as if it were a canvas. He/she paints directlyThe entire room becomes the artist’s view of the world.
